Say Goodbye to Thread Veins with IPL Treatment

Thread veins, also known as spider veins, are tiny blood vessels that appear close to the skin’s surface, often on the face, legs, and other areas exposed to the elements. While harmless, they can be a source of discomfort or insecurity. At Peppermint Clinic, we offer IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment, a non-invasive and effective solution to reduce the appearance of thread veins, helping you achieve smoother, more even-toned skin.

Why Choose IPL for Thread Veins?

Our IPL thread vein treatment is designed to target and diminish the appearance of these superficial veins without damaging the surrounding skin. Whether on your face, legs, or other areas, IPL can help you achieve clearer, more youthful skin with minimal downtime.

How IPL Thread Vein Treatment Works

IPL treatment uses powerful light pulses that penetrate the skin to target the haemoglobin within the thread veins. The light energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, causing them to heat up and collapse. Over time, the treated veins are naturally reabsorbed by the body, resulting in a noticeable reduction in their appearance. The surrounding skin remains unaffected, making IPL a precise and safe option for treating thread veins.

Areas Commonly Treated

Thread veins can appear on various parts of the body, but the most commonly treated areas include:

  • Face: Cheeks, nose, and chin

  • Legs: Particularly the thighs and calves

  • Body: Any area prone to thread veins, like the chest or back

Benefits of IPL Thread Vein Treatment

  • Non-Invasive: No needles, no surgery, just light pulses targeting the veins.

  • Minimal Downtime: Return to your daily activities with little to no recovery time.

  • Effective Results: Noticeable improvement after just a few sessions.

  • Safe and Precise: Targets only the unwanted veins, preserving healthy skin.

What to Expect

During your IPL treatment session, a cooling gel will be applied to the area being treated. The IPL device is then used to deliver controlled pulses of light to the skin. You may feel a slight warming sensation, but the treatment is generally well-tolerated. Sessions are quick, typically lasting between 15 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.

Most clients will need a series of treatments for optimal results, spaced a few weeks apart. After your treatment, you might experience slight redness or swelling, which usually subsides within a few hours.
